We carry a premium assortment of glass carboys and PET carboys.

- 6 Gallon Carboys are the standard size for most wine making kits which are usually designed to produce 6 gallons of wine. The 6 gallon carboys will also accomodate fresh fruit wine making recipes.

- 5 Gallon Carboys accomodate fresh fruit wine making recipes and beer making recipes.

- 3 Gallon Carboys accomodate most Dessert Wine (Port, Ice Style and Sherry) wine making kits which are designed to yield 3 gallons of wine. The 3 gallon carboys will also accomodate fresh fruit wine making recipes.

- 1 Gallon Glass Jugs accomodate most small batches of fruit wines and meads. They are ideal for saving juice or wine for topping up larger batches of wine.

Glass Carboys

Glass Carboys are easy to clean, do not deteriorate in storage and will never interact chemically with your wine.

Never put boiling water into a glass vessel. The high temperature will cause the glass to expand quickly and break.

Better Bottle PET plastic carboys are light-weight, easy to handle and store, are almost unbreakable, taste and odor free, impermeable to air and are clear and colorless. Made with food grade PET they have non-absorbing, non-porous surfaces that are easy to clean and sanitize and do not carry over flavors from one batch of wine to the next.

Vintage Shop PET Plastic Carboys

Vintage Shop PET plastic carboys are light-weight, easy to handle and store, are almost unbreakable, taste and odor free, impermeable to air and are clear and colorless. Made with food grade PET they have non-absorbing, non-porous surfaces that are easy to clean and sanitize and do not carry over flavors from one batch of wine to the next. The new Vintage Shop design features include:

- BPA Free
- Smooth ribless sides which means less yeast and sediment attached to the walls.
- Easy to clean inside, since the inside walls are smooth.
- Easy to attach an adhesive thermometer to the outside walls (smooth walls).
- Flat base is easy to clean with a standard carboy brush.
- Sharp shoulders gives you less air contact between wine/beer and air inside the carboy and also give you better access to clean with a Carboy Brush.
- Thicker walls give you less permeability.

Note: It is not recommend to lift the carboy from the side when it is full. To lift it place one hand on the bottom and the other on the neck.

Do not clean carboy with water hotter than 53ºC (127ºF).

Amber or Clear Screw Top One Gallon Glass Jug - Case of Four

Our amber and clear screw top one gallon glass jugs come packaged four to a case. These jugs with molded handles are ideal for small fruit wine batches or for holding juice or wine for topping up larger batches. Easy to clean, do not deteriorate in storage and do not interact chemically with your wine.

38mm screw tops for our gallon glass jugs are available in solid metal, solid polyseal and plastic with a molded hole in the center to accomodate the 3 piece airlock.

Brew Hauler Carboy Carrier

Designed for easier and safer handling and moving of glass carboys. Constructed of polypropylene webbing, it creates handles around a carboy. Adjusts to fit 5-7 gallon carboys and can support and lift 100 lbs.
