beer kits include the malt extract concentrate, yeast and
instructions. All of the ingredients are pre-measured and
instructions are concise and easy to follow. Making your own
micro-brew quality beer has never been as simple and enjoyable.

PURE
BREWERS LIQUEUR AND SPIRIT ESSENCES
Pure
Brewers Liqueur Essence has been uniquely formulated
to flavour and produce some of the most popular
flavours of liqueurs.
Packaged
in individual sachets, the liqueurs yield 1 liter
of liqueur depending on variety.
Liqueurs
are produced using one of two methods.
Using a 1 liter bottle simply blend 40% ABV alcohol
(vodka), sugar and the contents of the sachet.
Shake well to mix.
Or you may create your own alcobase by fermenting
sugar water with a high alcohol tolerance turbo
yeast. This alcobase will be ferment to about
20% ABV and will be used in place of the vodka.
Spirit Essences (rums, scotch, etc.) do not require
sugar additions.
Pure Brewer essences do not require glycerine
additions.

LIQUOR
QUIK ESSENCES
LIQUOR
QUIK™ branded essences are used worldwide
to produce high quality liqueurs and spirits.
All LIQUOR QUIK™ essences are produced using
natural extracts and essential oils. The best
essences that Northern Europe has to offer are
sourced, where the "old world" style
of extraction is still used. Carefully selected
seeds, herbs, fruits and essential oils are macerated
or distilled and then fortified with alcohol and
sweetener. These all natural ingredients are bottled
in an old-fashioned glass collector's bottle.
Packaged in .65 fl oz bottles, the liqueurs yield
between 21 fl oz - 31 fl oz depending on variety.
Due
to no artificial preservatives being used, some
ingredient separation or settling may occur. Refrigerate
unused essence. For best results use within six
months of opening.
For liqueurs simply blend essences with vodka
or grain alcohol and sugar. If desired glycerine
may be added to the liqueur for thickening. Glycerine
is available on our "Additives" page.
For spirits simply add the essence to grain alcohol
or neutral vodka.

Premium
Range
The
Muntons Premium range was developed for the original
four kits in the early days of English home-brewing.
Formulations
for this range have purposely not been changed
since they were first developed back in the early
1970's - a tremendous heritage and a proven track
record.
The
Premium range has been extended to include styles
of beer from far reaches of the world. American
Style Light, Canadian Style Beer, Scottish Style
Heavy Ale, Old Ale and so on.
The
Premium range allows home beer makers to experience
flavours from around the world in their own homes,
enjoyably and economically.
Once
again the Muntons Premium range is made entirley
from 100% hopped malt extract with no inferior
or cheap adjuncts such as barley syrup. There
is one notable exception to this however - the
American Style Light Beer. To emulate the light
delicate character of this popular beer style
it was necessary to include in the kit a percentage
of liquid sugar. This is the only beer kit in
the extensive Muntons ranges made from anything
other than 100% hopped malt extract.
Connoisseurs
Range
Each
Beer kit contains 1.8kg of 100% hopped malt extract
- and in common with all Muntons beer kits, no
cheap barley syrup is used in their manufacture.
With the Connoisseurs range you will be able to
experience taste sensations including Wheat Beer
modelled on the best German Weizen style beers,
Bock - the distinctive dark lager of Bavaria,
Export Stout - a classic full-bodied hoppy stout
and a wide range of other style beers.
The
Connoisseurs range offers the home beer-maker
the chance to make premium strength beers. Excellent

Muntons
range of canned malt extracts for the home beer
making market are made exclusively from the finest
English 2 row barley. They are produced by the
aqueous extraction of sugars from malted barley
and are subsequently concentrated into a viscous
syrup. They are a valuable source of fermentable
sugars, provide natural colouring and impart their
traditional rich malty flavour.
DARK
MALT EXTRACT - Chocolate malt, crystal malt and
pale malt is used in the manufacture of Muntons
dark malt extract. Ideal for recipes designed
to brew Milds, porters and Stouts.

when used in place of sugar. It will brew beers which are
less 'dry', with more richness, body and improved head formation
and retention.
LIGHT
- Great for all beer styles. Adds extra body and richness.
Especially useful when brewing lighter beers such as lagers
and pilsners.
DARK
- A superb addition to any Stout, Porter or Brown Ale. Dark
Spraymalt will improve the body, adding extra rich malt flavour
and natural colour.

Malt Extract is a natural flavouring and colouring,
rich in protein and natural sugar, and recognised as
a major natural energy source.
Light
Malt Extract - Produced by mashing finely ground malted
and unmalted barley with water at a temperature not
exceeding 75C, then filtering and evaporating the resulting
liquid under partial vacuum until it is the consistency
of thick honey. The grist comprises a proportion of
unmalted barley as constituent of the mash in order
to produce a malt extract with a light amber colour. |
